FaMe with the letter 'K'

Fame, a state of being widely acclaimed and honored. It is a public reputation that is being recognized by many. Being famous is one of people’s want. They see it as power over other. Some use it well, some abuse it. Fame is seen in sports, pageants, TV, film, commercial, and politics; well basically, everywhere. Some are already famous even before they were born, those who are from the families which are so called the rich and famous. But how about those who were born to have fame, who lives just to be famous?

I’ve known many people in the past which I still know today. Some were just nobody that is now already that somebody who almost has it all. For me, fame is something someone should gain after all the hard work and hardships on his own craft. Lucky ones get it instantly; those are the type of fame which I can’t easily appreciate. Those lucky ones tend to act fake for some reasons. Maybe they act that way to maintain their fame? If that’s the case, then I guess it is really being a fake. Even I, like to be famous, many of us want to be famous in our own chosen field. But if fame has its twin word ‘fake’, then we better change our like. Still, there are some people who maintain their fame and their good reputation, not faking their acts like others.

It is hard to become famous, but it is harder to live with it not being misunderstood by others. I believe that being famous is more like not being aware that you are one; it is acting normal, acting just the same, and living the craft that was the reason of becoming famous. For some who are already faking some acts to maintain their status, then I am sure there are few people who can identify it, and those are their friends.

Maybe some will agree with this, and some guilty people won’t. Either way, one thing’s for sure, ‘fame’ has its twin word, ‘responsibility’. Famous ones should be responsible for their acts, regardless the field they are in, because they are the role models on their own field and craft. Famous ones are responsible for giving inspiration to those who also wants to be one of them someday.

It is okay to be famous, and to have fame, but never to be fake, and get faked.
